Overview Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Marine and Offshore sector across Atlantic Canada, with a focus on Newfoundland and Labrador. Participate in client meetings to understand Marine and Offshore project requirements and develop tailored solutions. Responsibilities Prepare project proposals, RFPs, tenders, budgets, and preliminary schedules for Marine and Offshore projects. Monitor project progress, quality, and timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations. Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and internal project teams to ensure alignment and timely updates. Support process improvements by identifying opportunities and contributing constructive ideas. Anticipate and manage project scope changes, potential risks, and contingency planning. Collaborate with the Director of Global Projects and project teams to document and standardize operational processes. Maintain and update the project database with accurate vendor, carrier, and port terminal information. Qualify and onboard new vendors in line with established company procedures. Partner with Inside Sales to identify leads, coordinate proposals, and support handling details for project opportunities. Serve as a key escalation point for service-related issues to ensure client satisfaction. Assist the Projects Director with month-end reviews and sales budget tracking to identify gaps and opportunities. Provide after-hours support as needed and perform other related duties as assigned. What you bring Proven experience in Business Development and Sales, with a demonstrated record of driving growth and building strong client relationships. Background in the Marine or Offshore Logistics industry strongly preferred, with solid understanding of industry operations, technical requirements, and customer expectations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and influence key stakeholders. Digitally savvy, with experience using social media and modern networking tools to support business development activities. Highly self-motivated and open-minded, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach. Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel regularly within the region.
