We are seeking a BigID Functional Lead to oversee the end-to-end implementation and optimization of the BigID platform for enterprise-scale data privacy initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in data discovery, classification, and integration of BigID with enterprise systems, as well as strong knowledge of data privacy regulations. You will be responsible for aligning BigID’s capabilities with organizational compliance goals, ensuring scalability, and driving successful tool adoption across stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end implementation of BigID, including architecture design, connector setup, and module configuration. Perform data discovery and classification across structured and unstructured data sources. Integrate BigID with enterprise systems (e.g., Active Directory, cloud storage, databases, ticketing tools). Collaborate with privacy, legal, and IT teams to align BigID capabilities with regulatory requirements. Develop custom dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor privacy posture and tool performance. Provide technical documentation, training, and support to internal stakeholders. Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and manage upgrades or new feature rollouts. Technical Profile Proficiency in configuring and deploying the BigID platform across enterprise environments. Strong understanding of data discovery, classification, and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA). Experience integrating BigID with cloud platforms, databases, and identity systems. Familiarity with REST APIs and scripting (Python, SQL) for automation and customization. Knowledge in networking protocols and technologies: HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, DNS, network components. Experience with structured data RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, IBM DB2). Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch), message queues, and microservices in Kubernetes environments. Demonstrated knowledge of Linux environments – installation, networking configuration, bash scripting. Strong understanding of resilience patterns, multi-tenancy, scalability, and performance tuning. Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies (advantage). Proficiency in Java programming and related frameworks. Familiarity with SDK design and shared client libraries. Experience assessing vendor data processing activities and managing third-party risk using BigID. Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving ingestion, performance, and configuration issues. Functional Profile Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance stakeholders. Skilled in managing timelines and deliverables during tool migrations and privacy initiatives. Capable of working effectively with both onsite and offshore teams across multiple time zones. Business acumen to align technical implementation with compliance and regulatory objectives.
