Linehaul Driver Class A

Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Linehaul Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a Class A driver's license for a minimum of 3 years with a clear driving history. Job Title: Linehaul DriverLocation: Brockville, ONShift: Monday to Friday 5:30pm to 3:30am (4 layover - Brockville to Montreal)Pay Rate: $30.25/hour What’s the Job? Drive to/from customer locations  Safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)  Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations Scans freight upon pickup and delivery Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer) What’s Needed? Valid Class A Driver's License for at least 3 years required No more than four (4) demerit points on Driver's Abstract Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs. Must successfully pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods training Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers Strong organizational and time management skills What’s in it for me?
