The clinic operates Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no after-hours or on-call requirements. It offers full administrative and billing support, free onsite parking, and uses the MedAccess EMR. The team currently includes one physician and a physician assistant, with another physician joining in 2026, and space for two more. The environment is supportive, features a flat-rate overhead, and is conveniently connected to a pharmacy. Job Description Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners Act as a patient’s advocate Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements West Bedford is a thriving suburban neighbourhood nestled between Bedford and Hammonds Plains within the Halifax Regional Municipality.
