Purpose Of Role:
The Interim Lead, In-School Learning Experiences oversees the administration, management, operations, coordination, and delivery of all school-based program initiatives throughout a parental leave. The Interim Lead, In-School Learning Experiences works in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including JA staff, partners, students, parents, and educators. They lead project initiatives and achieve program targets and funder expectations in alignment with the values, policies, and procedures of JA Central Ontario.
Key Responsibilities include: In collaboration with the Senior Director, Program, prepare the annual program plan for inschool learning experiences balancing strategic priorities, funder expectations, and the approved budget.
Supervision
This is a supervisory role responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and supervision of staff assigned to the portfolio.
The role is to provide oversight and coaching to assigned staff in alignment with the values, policies, and procedures of JA Central Ontario.
In-School Programs & Initiatives
• Manage all in-school partnerships and project initiatives to ensure program objectives and funding deliverables are achieved in alignment with the organization’s values, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee relevant program expenditures according to the approved Program budgetary allocations.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage all in-school program facilitations and competitions.
• Assist Lead, Company Program with student recruitment for the after-school program and alumni initiatives.
• Work with Director, Marketing & Communications to promote programs and competitions.
• Facilitate evaluation of in-school programs and ensure students, educators and volunteers participate in feedback loop
• Collaborate with other Programs team members to contribute to strategic planning for in-school programs and initiatives.
Volunteer Management
• Coordinate with Lead, Events & Volunteers on volunteer screening including VSS applications and reference checks • Work with the Associate, Programs to train and support volunteers on in-person and digital programs
• Work with Associate Programs on volunteer cancellations
• Create volunteer training resources and templates for in-school learning experiences
Events & Administration
• Ensure program deliveries are accurately tracked for monthly and quarterly reports, using Salesforce
• Order, ship and track program materials through the Marketplace and ensure proper sign-off
• Assist with program events, custom workshops and field trips as required
• Other duties as assigned.
Who we’re looking for:
Experience and Qualifications:
• Degree in a related discipline (such as non-profit, education, or business administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of recent, related professional experience in a charity, educational institution, or corporate social responsibility program environment with a proven track record of success
• Design/Creative skills considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Knowledge of JA Programs
• Effective organizational and verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently.
• Innovative thinker and results driven attitude.
• Good understanding of social media
• Ability to effectively collaborate with others.
• Willingness to learn.
Working Conditions:
• Occasional travel within the service region, as required.
• Flexible to work occasional weekends and evenings.
• We are a remote-first office environment. Employees are welcome to use the available office space on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to attend in person for certain staff meetings and participation at certain fundraising and program events.

• Salary for this position begins at $62,000 and can be negotiated based on experience. As JA Central Ontario is a youth-serving organization, offers of employment are conditional on the review of references and a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
