About the role Join this industry leader as Senior Legal Counsel (Construction / Property) and be part of a dynamic and supportive team focused on achieving their strategic goals. There is nothing boring about this role - you will engage with stakeholders across the business and provide advice in property matters, with a particular focus on construction projects. Activities will include acquisitions, development, delivery and remediation. You will also provide wider commercial legal support to ensure that the risks for the organisation are minimised and all rights are maximised. What we’re looking for LLB qualified, admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the New Zealand High Court, eligible to hold current legal practising certificate Upwards of 6 years’ sound relevant experience in construction law with a particular focus on front end construction Exposure to property, commercial contracts, corporate legal work is desirable. Prior inhouse experience is preferred but not essential Strong communication and negotiation skills Ideally, you will have experience of multi-site operations and have good quality customer and stakeholder management experience so that you are well placed to achieve excellent outcomes About the company An industry leader, our client is a values-led organisation that provides stable and stimulating work for close to 1,700 people.
