Current eligible employees of the Health and Social Services system can take advantage of an unpaid leave to work in a Nordic establishment for up to 60 months. English follows French posting. Responsibilities Under the authority of the Director of Community Services, supervise the various activities of prevention and promotion in the seven villages of Ungava Bay. Oversee the wellness workers in each village and the community worker for suicide prevention. Work closely with those responsible for the various CLSC services including child–youth–family, psycho‑social services, community nursing, home support, and the public health team. Ensure participation of local actors and that Inuit values are integral to the prevention and promotion program within different CLSC service points. Manage the budget and the human resources under responsibility. Specific Requirements College degree in Social Work, Specialized Education, or Administration (relevant work experience may be considered in the absence of graduation). Clinical experience working with family/child/youth or adult clientele is an asset. 1 year of management experience; start or pursue studies in management. Being a student or having completed the McGill Management Course is an asset. Ability to communicate in Inuktitut. Skills in planning, communication, negotiation, leadership, and good team mobilization capacity. Recognized in the community, no criminal record. Able to work easily with Word, internet and communicate in French or English, spoken and written. Travel to the communities of Ungava Bay. Weekly Premiums High cost living: $74.17 Isolation: $227.69 Retention: $139.13 Notes All positions may be subject to a selection process, including tests and interviews. Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement will receive priority when qualifications are equal. Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometres from the locality will be granted annual trips and lodging per status. Shared lodging or transit if necessary. Nordic premiums apply only when the home port is in one of the northern villages; the amounts indicated are "without dependents".
