Pack-Smart Inc. automated equipment is designed,built, and shipped from our manufacturing facility in Concord, Ontario Job title:Mechanical Design Engineer – Lead InnovativeAutomation Projects with World Class Brands We’re hiring a full-time Mechanical DesignEngineer to lead the development of custom, high-speed automation systems.This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer with a passion forinnovation, strong leadership skills, and deep technical expertise in machinedesign. You’ll be responsible for managing design projects from concept throughto production, working alongside a team of engineers, manufacturing andprocurement. You will be driving creative solutions for complex automationchallenges, taking Pack-Smart’s machine design to the next level. Conceptualize, model, anddetail components and assemblies using AutoCAD and 3D CAD (SolidWorks) Evaluate and optimizeexisting mechanical systems. Collaborate in designreviews and cross-functional project planning. Mentor and supervisejunior designers and engineers. Assist with Drawing filesystem administration and project documentation. Liaison betweenengineering procurement and manufacturing departments. 5+ years of mechanicaldesign experience in automation or machine building. Bachelor’s Degree inMechanical Engineering (or related field). Proficiency in AutoCAD and3D CAD software; SolidWorks is an asset. Well-versed in GeometricDimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T). Strong knowledge ofpneumatics, servo motors, and machine shop practices. Experience with PDMdocument management systems. Excellent problem-solving,organizational, and communication skills.
