The successful candidate for this position will act as the conductor bringing all elements of the model together to ensure the successful implementation of the culture change within the home and the organization. Traits and Qualifications Successful completion of or enrollment in Long Term Care Senior Management or equivalent Passionate about dementia care Current with dementia best practice and evidence Visionary and inspirational Demonstrated Political acumen Education in an emotion-based model of care an asset High levels of emotional intelligence Experience in long-term care and/or dementia care 5 years of experience in a formal leadership position Project Management training and experience as a lead in a significant project Change Management certification and experience in initiating a significant change Post-secondary education in research and numerology Facilitator training and experience as a facilitator and educator Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal People management including mentoring, coaching, performance management, hiring and termination Knowledge and aptitude in Google Suite Drivers license and access to a vehicle Qualification and experience in formalized change management Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing project management methodology 2 years experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education Must be computer literate Please note, all applicants must be located in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.
