Role Title Technical Writer Location Toronto, ON Job Description We are looking for a Technical Writer to develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API references, and FAQs. Mandatory skills Knowledge of software development concepts, APIs, and system architecture; Ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and SMEs to collect accurate information; Excellent written communication; Ability to create visual aids (diagrams, flowcharts, using tools like Visio or Lucidchart); Knowledge of structured authoring and single‑sourcing techniques. Responsibilities Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API references, and FAQs. Collaborate with engineering, products, and support teams to gather information and ensure accuracy. Translate complex technical concepts into easy‑to‑understand content for various audiences. Ensure documentation adheres to company standards, style guides, and best practices. Manage documentation lifecycle: drafting, reviewing, publishing, and updating. Work with tools such as Markdown, XML, HTML, and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, GitHub). Create visual aids (diagrams, flowcharts) to complement written content.
