Responsibilities Design and implement efficient computer networks, including connections and cabling. Diagnose system glitches, troubleshoot network bottlenecks, and apply corrective actions. Identify and rectify issues within the LAN infrastructure, from minor glitches to substantial bugs. Configure and test software, and undertake hardware repair and maintenance. Evaluate network performance, proactively seeking avenues for optimization. Plan and execute network upgrades and maintenance operations. Deliver comprehensive guidance and instructions to team members. Collaborate with peers to ensure unparalleled expertise and a commitment to quality. Technical Proficiency Possess 5 to 7 years of senior-level technical support, system administration, or equivalent client-facing experience in a fast-paced, technically demanding setting. Exhibit prowess in cybersecurity incident response and restoration, covering live response, containment, and remediation. Proficiency in system, network, and application rebuilding and restoration. Familiarity with VMWare ESX/Hyper-V, Active Directory design and troubleshooting. Adeptness in the Windows environment, spanning Windows Service and Workstation troubleshooting, as well as diagnosis of low-level OS and network concerns. Confidence in handling diverse hardware platforms, encompassing NAS, SAN, servers, and networking devices. Strong communication abilities to effectively address customer issues and champion their success. Robust networking background, encompassing skills in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP), DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPv4, and IPv6. Proficiency in network switching, including L2 and L3 switch design incorporating VLANs and port security. Experience with enterprise wireless solutions like Cisco, Aruba, FortiNet. Familiarity with firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, CheckPoint, FortiNet Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki. Skill in network traffic analysis and capture. Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, enabling both independent and collaborative work. Qualifications Demonstrated experience as a network technician or in a similar role. Outstanding diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Sound understanding of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and Wi-Fi technologies. TIL version 3 Foundation or Practitioner Certification. Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology. Strong preference for Tier 1 vendor certifications like ACMA/ACMP and/or ACDA/ACDP. BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering, or related field (preferred). Proficiency in solution design development and technical infrastructure implementation. History of producing technical support documentation. Experience coordinating technical builds within specific domains (application, technical, integration, security, information). Skilled in gathering functional and non-functional requirements and translating them into technical infrastructure specifications. Expertise in leading solution design and implementation for security services, including access management, network security, email protection, endpoint security, and more. Familiarity with modern data center environments, private cloud architectures, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewall management, Citrix ADC, and VPN deployment. Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for producing concise and effective technical written content.
