Commercial millwork manufacturing operation serving the local BC market is looking for a Production Manager to supervise production on the shop floor. This is a well established medium sized company with a long history of excellence in serving the local commercial millwork market. Currently expanding to meet demand and maintain production schedules for 2026 onward. This BC based operation is not affected by trade issues. This is a newly created positioned designed to enhance the capabilities of an existing structure which includes an incredibly talented team of project managers, designers, estimators, supervisory staff, veteran craftsmen and skilled production staff. This is a shop floor leadership position requiring a full breadth of both organizational, technical and communication skills. As the primary coordinator leading the production team, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of all the custom products being produced. Keeping production on time and on budget to meet the established schedule while maintaining quality expectations. With a strong track record in safety, quality control and overall production efficiency you will need to select, train and manage staff in all areas of the plant. Hands on experience in millwork design, construction and even installation will help you guide the efforts of your subordinates. Job Requirements 3-5 years experience as an effective manager or senior supervisor within the millwork industry. In depth knowledge of all steps and technologies used in millwork and cabinet construction. Experience and education as a cabinetmaker/millworker, ideally as a journeyman. Full understanding of architectural blueprints/drawings. Full proficiency in the use, reading, and marking of CAD drawings Knowledge of custom commercial cabinetry, joinery and lamination methods. Experience with common production technologies both manual and CNC controlled. Strong admin skills to schedule, assign and monitor multiple projects on time and on budget. Widely skilled in administrative management with full capability in Excel/Word/Outlook. Ability to coordinate and work effectively in a team setting with multiple stakeholders. Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated, organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Professional and positive attitude. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of safety standards and preventative maintenance programs.
