Senior Associate, Restructuring & Turnaround - Advisory Join KPMG Canada as a Senior Associate in our Restructuring & Turnaround practice. You will help clients navigate financial challenges, including liquidity crises and insolvent situations. Our work supports lenders, management, boards, regulators, and other key stakeholders. Overview KPMG’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice assists companies and stakeholders facing underperformance, imminent liquidity crises, or difficulties raising capital. We provide financial advisory services, financial analysis, strategic planning, and formal insolvency expertise (trustee under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and monitor under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act). What You Will Do Work on working‑capital and debt advisory projects Develop restructuring strategies and plans Perform financial analysis of companies across industries, reviewing operations and forecasts Create complex financial models and cash‑flow forecasts Conduct market research, data analytics, financial due diligence, and independent business reviews of under‑performing companies Prepare dashboards, slide decks, and other advisory presentations for key stakeholders Assist with formal insolvency filings, securing assets, and preparing court reports Communicate directly with clients, lenders, employees, creditors, and advisors Support proactive business development initiatives What You Bring To The Role Completed or working towards a professional designation (CPA/CA, CBV, CFA, etc.) Strong financial modeling skills, including detailed projections Knowledge of restructuring and insolvency industry; preference for candidates with experience in this area High‑level analytical, investigative, and computer skills (particularly Excel) Flexible and adaptable approach to evolving priorities in a fast‑paced environment Interest in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) qualification program Willingness to relocate for out‑of‑town assignments Adjustments and Accommodations Throughout the Recruitment Process We are committed to an inclusive recruitment process that supports all candidates.
