We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager who will develop and maintain an efficient production schedule for our clients Woodstock plant. In this role, you will collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, supporting plant goals for excellence and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure raw materials and product flow meet daily production needs.
  • Assist in long-term planning and process improvements for manufacturing.
  • Meet performance targets through efficient materials management.
  • Improve product profitability and work processes continuously.
  • Plan production requirements considering machine and labor resources.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager on product flow and maintain the MRP system.
  • Schedule production and prototype development based on customer needs.
  • Manage shipping schedules and coordinate with customers and carriers.
  • Ensure product identification and traceability.
  • Train shipping and receiving personnel on the CMS system.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and machinery changes.
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage material requirements for a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain the MRP system and coordinate international freight.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental standards and QMS requirements.
  • Fulfill responsibilities outlined in the Employee Handbook and other duties as assigned.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Diploma in materials/logistics or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years in automotive manufacturing .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel) and AS400/MRP systems.
  • Experience with international customs and freight.
  • Strong communication skills, leadership ability, high integrity, proactive learning, and development skills.
