The Role


North Star: The Content Specialist is a social-savvy communicator and ideator who can plan & develop content for our clients through innovative ideas, flexible tonality, strategic thinking and highly crafted writing. They’ll manage multiple accounts and platforms simultaneously; leveraging their expertise of social media and content trends, strategies, and analytics. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, with a finger on the pulse of culture, and progressive thinking.


The Content Specialist will be responsible for the following:


  • Identify and solve for proactive and real-time cultural moments relevant to the brand
  • Develop and support on overall social content strategy
  • Development and execution of monthly content calendars for multiple clients
  • Identify ongoing trends by platform and tie into creative ideation
  • Develop and execute an engagement growth strategy across platforms
  • Lead content/editorial writing
  • Partner with content creators and designers to craft work at the highest level
  • Manage social media communities for multiple clients, including active listening and capitalizing on engagement opportunities
  • Carefully monitor and manage complaints, escalating when necessary
  • Test, learn, and pivot approaches as analytics lead, producing monthly reports to ensure clients’ social media success
  • Partner with our Paid Media Strategist on social amplification strategy and reporting
  • Often act as the lead point of contact for all social media requirements on your accounts
  • Integrate with Creative, Accounts, Strategy and Production departments to contribute to programs, campaigns and new business
  • Research industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies and platforms
  • Lead mint social in collaboration with the ECD, CD and Creative Team


Skills, Abilities and Experience:


  • 4-6 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist/Content Specialist
  • Create content/editorial calendars for content planning purposes
  • Excellent creative writing skills
  • An eye for good creative, design & concepts
  • Strong ideation skills
  • A hands-on ability to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Excellent social media knowledge and a capacity to adapt to user trends
  • Working knowledge of social media management tools/platforms
  • Ongoing analytics to assess performance & provide ongoing recommendations for improvement
  • Ability to work in an agile manner with dynamic teams
  • Comfortable presenting and working with clients
  • Contribute positively to the culture of Mint at large
