Position Overview Reporting to the Head of the Application Services Chapter, the Senior Software Developer is an integrated role within the IT solutions delivery team. The role involves full development lifecycle activities – planning, estimating, developing, implementing and deploying complex services, orchestrations, and integrations. It requires collaboration in a fast‑paced environment, continuous integration and deployment, and a focus on evolving systems to meet changing business needs. Responsibilities Maintain and upgrade existing components. Use appropriate engineering practices, invest in tooling and manage technical debt. Ensure compliance with architecture, safety and industry best‑practice standards. Collaborate across teams and within the team to define functional specifications. Review code to meet development standards and best practices. Provide first‑level technical support for production issues. Develop, implement and deploy complex services with CI/CD in all environments including production. Design, document, develop and implement technical solutions based on requirements. Write unit tests and ensure they run properly. Fix defects before delivery and maintain software sustainability from an infrastructure perspective. Act as a FrontEnd team representative in initiatives and projects. Participate daily in Scrum meetings. Adapt to technology changes, learn and apply new methods to achieve goals. Control quality and stability across IT systems following PLC practices. Integrate AI into development activities to maximize productivity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience. At least ten years of experience in software development or IT. Experience in the banking industry is an asset. Seven to ten years of experience as a full‑stack developer. Strong hands‑on experience with Angular Framework. Experience with .NET Core, SQL Server, Entity Framework and AutoMapper. Experience with build tools (Gulp, NodeJS, Yaml etc.). Familiarity with TDD, pair programming, CI/CD, release pipelines and Azure DevOps. Hands‑on experience in Agile (Scrum, Kanban, INVEST). Knowledge of REST, HTTP, MQ, AMQP, JSON, SOA and web/API security (OAuth, OIDC, SSL, CORS, JWT). Experience with RAML/Swagger, Splunk, Dynatrace, GitHub Copilot are assets. Other Skills Sought Responsibility for assigned work and initiative. Autonomy, organization and analytical skills. Strong problem‑solving, teamwork and adaptability. Excellent written and verbal communication in both official languages. Capacity to work in a matrix and changing environment. Knowledge of computer/web domain fundamentals.
