We are looking for a ServiceNow Technical Specialist / Administrator on contract for one of our banking clients in Toronto. Client: Bank Location: Toronto, 2 days a week onsite Duration: 6 months Job Summary The ServiceNow Administrator / Developer is responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and development of the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures platform stability, data integrity, and automation efficiency while supporting CMDB, Asset Management, and integrated workflows across the organization. Key Responsibilities Administer and support daily ServiceNow platform operations, including user accounts, roles, groups, access controls (ACLs), and data policies. Configure and maintain system properties, email notifications, and inbound email actions to enable automated and reliable communications. Design, develop, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications and tables using ServiceNow Studio, scoped applications, Script Includes, and UI Actions. Enhance data quality and governance by enforcing Application Owner accountability and automating record updates through business rules, workflows, and flows. Manage CMDB integrity by maintaining asset normalization, lifecycle statuses, CI relationships, and reconciliation rules. Design, implement, and support asset and CI workflows integrated with Procurement and Discovery to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver scalable ServiceNow solutions. Monitor platform performance and ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and governance standards. Required Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience administering and developing on the ServiceNow platform Strong understanding of user management, roles, groups, ACLs, and security best practices Experience with CMDB, Asset Management (ITAM), Discovery, and Procurement integrations Proficiency in ServiceNow development tools (Script Includes, UI Actions, Business Rules, Flow Designer) Working knowledge of JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs, and scoped application development Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, or CIS - CMDB/ITAM preferred) Experience with data normalization, reconciliation, and CMDB governance Familiarity with integrations, REST APIs, and automated workflows
