FTE: 1.0 Anticipated Shift: Days Daily Hours Worked: 8 Annual Base Hours: 2080 Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 Job Summary The Research Associate 2 possesses the qualifications and expertise to conduct research activities independently in collaboration with Primary Investigators and other researchers. The primary function of the Research Associate 2 is to independently perform a variety of research activities within a research program while developing strategies and capacity building to enable high-quality research. Duties may include oversight of other researchers and technical personnel and participation in various aspects of student research. The Research Associate 2 also holds distinct and significant leadership responsibilities, delegated by the Principal Investigator, in addition to independent research responsibilities as outlined above. Such leadership responsibilities may include on-the-ground supervision of research personnel and/or leadership of the establishment and standardization of novel research activities. The Research Associate 2 will be relied upon to provide significant input into the direction of research and protocols and will lead and oversee complex studies and activities. We’re hiring a Research Associate 2 to execute high-impact studies within the Paul Albrechtsen Research Institute at CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB). Reporting to Drs. Marshall Pitz and Kathleen Decker, you’ll conduct research, supervise personnel, and help shape the future direction of studies in AI-driven data science in oncology. About the Informatics Platform and the Health Services Research Lab The Informatics Platform links clinical, health system, and patient-reported data into one organized dataset that can be efficiently and effectively used to support cancer research and scientific knowledge, enhance patient care, improve health system efficiency, and support business intelligence. The Health Services Research Lab is a multidisciplinary team of researchers along with a diverse group of partners dedicated to measuring, implementing, and supporting the best ways to deliver high quality, equitable cancer care for Manitobans. Together, they are leading the way in data-driven decision making across the cancer control spectrum. Why Join Us?
