Director, Cost Consulting & Digital Delivery Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid) | Type: Full-Time | Experience Level: Senior Role Overview The Director, Cost Consulting & Digital Delivery at Brdg will serve as the quality gatekeeper and strategic lead for construction financing deliverables across our platform. You’ll validate, refine, and finalize automated lender reports, progress draw summaries, and project risk assessments, ensuring every output reflects the precision and professionalism of a top-tier cost consulting firm. You’ll combine deep construction finance expertise, contract fluency, and analytical insight with AI-augmented workflows to deliver institutional-grade accuracy and speed. This role demands the judgment of an experienced cost consultant and the curiosity of a product builder, someone eager to shape how the next generation of consultants operate in a fully digital environment. You’ll own the quality, consistency, and narrative behind Brdg’s cost consulting outputs, acting as the final layer of human intelligence atop our automation engine, while building and mentoring a team of digital consultants within the company. Core Responsibilities Digital Cost Consulting & Project Oversight Oversee the review and approval of automated draw packages, including progress claims, cost-to-complete analyses, and risk summaries. Validatesystem-generated financial tracking against construction budgets, contracts, and cost schedules. Validate AI-generated lender reports, feasibility assessments, and borrower equity confirmations. Approve flagged change orders, lien releases, and insurance documentation to ensure compliance with lender and contract requirements. Provide interpretive insights, not just data, to guide funding decisions, mitigate risks, and uphold transparency. Build, lead, and mentor a growing internal team of cost consultants operating through Brdg’s digital platform. Partner directly with Brdg’s founders and engineers to build the future of cost management services, redefining how monitoring, reporting, and approvals are delivered through the Cost Consultant Portal. Audit and iterate on new features to ensure outputs align with industry standards and enable Brdg’s cost management services to scale institutionally. Define best practices, report templates, and automation logic that support consistent, institutional-grade cost consulting across all projects. Serve as the subject‑matter authority bridging real‑world cost consulting workflows with software development. Quality Control & Leadership Act as the final quality checkpoint for all Brdg cost consulting outputs, ensuring every document sent to lenders and clients is flawless in accuracy, clarity, and structure. Establish internal SOPs for review, approval, and escalation, setting the gold standard for digital cost consulting quality. Lead by example, training and mentoring consultants on both technical construction finance and Brdg’s technology‑driven methodology. Success in This Role Looks Like You consistently deliver lender‑ready reports that require zero revision or clarification. You and your team are trusted as the final authority on progress, draw accuracy, compliance, and risk. You translate automation into actionable insight, validating that Brdg’s platform performs at or above industry expectations. You help define what “digital cost consulting” means at an institutional level. Who You Are 4+ years of progressive experience in cost consulting, construction loan monitoring, or development finance, ideally within a lender, developer, or consulting firm – with active membership in a provincial Order of Engineers (OIQ) and/or the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS). Deep understanding of construction contracts, draws, schedules, and lender reporting standards. Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving startup – adaptable, precise, and collaborative. Strong analytical and narrative skills, able to turn data into clear, investor‑ready insights. Familiarity with Excel, project management, or PropTech tools. Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
