Associate Professor – Nuclear Engineering University of Toronto Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering – Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry, St. George Campus, Toronto. Full‑time tenure‑stream position at the rank of Associate Professor, anticipated start date July 1 2026. Baccalaureate degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline. Clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Established international reputation; expected to sustain and lead innovative independent research. Expected to maintain an outstanding, competitive, externally funded research program. Experienced in teaching in the chemical engineering curriculum at undergraduate and post‑graduate level. Eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (required). Research and teaching interests that complement departmental strengths in modern nuclear reactor design (fission, fusion, small modular reactors), transport phenomena in nuclear reactors, thermal hydraulics, molten salt chemistry, thermodynamics and processing, nuclear chemistry, AI‑assisted modeling and simulation of nuclear energy systems, nuclear safety and waste management, hybrid nuclear‑renewable systems. Collaboration and inter‑disciplinary research and collegial interaction are essential. Evidence of Excellence Research: sustained high‑impact contributions, publications in top‑ranked, field‑relevant journals, research statement, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades. Teaching: teaching accomplishments, teaching dossier (teaching statement, sample course materials, teaching evaluations), strong letters of reference. Application Requirements Cover letter.
