Stantec’s GTA based team is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Professional. The Senior Project Manager will lead a team in the planning, design and construction of large‑scale municipal projects across various phases from environmental assessments and conceptual planning to design, construction, and occupancy. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple projects as a PM for Environmental Assessments and Detailed Design Projects, ensuring approved scope, budget and schedule. Lead the Design Team comprising Engineers, Scientists, Planners, Coordinators, Schedulers and other consultants. Create innovative ideas and approaches to re‑evaluate and improve our business. Promote and oversee the safety program and overall safety culture. Provide day‑to‑day project oversight and communicate with the client and project team. Develop, track, update, forecast and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the project. Review and track all contracts, invoices and payments to all contractors, consultants and equipment vendors. Lead safety program, quality reviews, plan reviews and inspections. Assist in negotiation of contracts and oversee approval of all invoices and change orders. Evaluate, advise on and assist in resolving disputes and claims. Collaborate regularly with colleagues in our multi‑disciplined design office. Manage financial aspects of projects and resource allocation. Support business development and lead proposal development. Capabilities and Credentials Project Management Professional Designation PMP is an asset. Excellent communication and leadership skills (verbal and written) and strong relationship‑building skills with team members, clients and contractors. Effective organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple projects, perform varied tasks and meet deadlines independently. A strong work ethic with a desire to excel, inspire and achieve. A willingness to learn and a motivated team player. Education and Experience Ideally 15+ years of experience in Transportation Engineering, Environmental Assessment Process and Approvals, Conceptual Design, Engineering, Technical Advisory Work or Construction Management. Civil Engineering Technology diploma or university degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent. Registered Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) or with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and Technicians.
