Responsibilities Cash flow forecasting and monitoring to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and investments. Engaging in financial forecasting, budgeting, and long‑term planning. Overseeing tax compliance and optimization strategies. Ensuring the company’s financial systems are legally compliant and support future growth. Controlling the company’s annual operating budget to use financial resources efficiently. Ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, optimizing equipment tracking, and streamlining charge‑out processes. Overseeing the company’s financial operations and ensuring timely and accurate financial reports. Ensuring financial reports comply with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and accurately represent the company’s financial position. Attesting to the accuracy and reliability of financial statements. Supporting company goals with progressive financial strategies. Collaborating with other senior managers on investment, capital structure, and income management decisions. Building and leading a highly effective finance and accounting team. Leading the Hatfield Finance Committee to support the company’s financial objectives. Overseeing financial planning and analysis functions for strategic decision‑making and business growth. Managing insurance policy renewals and ensuring regulatory compliance. Identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities. Providing recommendations on M&A opportunities and evaluating their financial viability. Consulting with the Hatfield Board and Managing Partners on corporate financial strategies. Providing insights into financial implications of corporate strategic decisions. Delivering ongoing financial and business intelligence metrics from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Producing monthly and year‑to‑date financial reports, including income statements, fee and cash‑flow projections, A/R, write‑offs, and WIP reports. Submitting quarterly recommendations to the Finance Committee regarding potential special distributions to Partners. Comparing budgeted financials to actual performance and providing justification for significant variances. Supporting the review of annual financial statements provided by external accountants, and corporate valuation and interim valuation. Education and Experience CPA designation and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in a consulting practice. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with data analysis. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or comparable ERP) for financial reporting, controls, and process optimization. Proficient in Power BI, including designing, interpreting, and presenting financial dashboards. Proven track record in strategic planning and operational efficiency. Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations, corporate finance, and risk management. Other Assets / Skills Experience partnering with IT/ERP consultants during system implementation or optimization. Proactive problem‑solving with strong decision‑making capability. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving business consulting environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
