Role Description This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Senior Backend Developer at JASETech LTD. The position is based in Concord, ON, with flexibility for some work‑from‑home opportunities. The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and shipping high‑throughput, serverless and containerized services and business logic on Azure. You’ll design APIs, data flows, and event pipelines for transactional, analytics, and AI workloads—then lead them from concept to production with clean code, strong security, and thoughtful resource optimization. Qualifications 5+ years building serverless and containerized applications on Azure , hands‑on with: APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Redis, Azure SQL, AD B2C, Static Web Apps, Web PubSub, Azure AI/OpenAI, AKS, FastAPI and more . Proven experience delivering large‑scale platforms for transactional , data analysis , and AI workloads. Advanced API design and integration chops (sync/async), including authentication/authorization and role‑based access through APIM/AD B2C. Solid understanding of security and privacy best practices; cryptography knowledge is a plus. Experience with event streaming (e.g., Event Grid/Service Bus), observability (App Insights/Log Analytics), and cost optimization on Azure. Ability to design solutions independently , think originally, and produce sophisticated algorithms where needed. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in Fintech or Digital Marketing industries is considered an asset.
