This role is located in Calgary, Alberta to support projects in the US and Canada, with required travel to the US. We are looking for ideal candidates to grow the Kiewit team by helping establish, maintain, and improve company standards and tools while also utilizing these standards and tools to contribute to project success, leading projects and engineering teams for our Industrial projects. Candidates shall have a minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical or process engineering, including specific experience with one or more of the following: biogas, bulk solids material handling, water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipeline conveyance, groundwater remediation, stormwater recycling, process piping, industrial boilers and chillers, Data center cooling systems, CDU's and computer room air handling units. In this role, you will be hands on involved in the mechanical designs, as well as mentoring and developing more junior engineers. Coordinate and communicate all aspects of the project’s mechanical design within multi‑disciplinary teams ... Review project contracts, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ... Provide oversight and coordination of projects ... Manage other design partners ... Perform detailed technical bid analyses ... Generate and check design deliverables such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, ... Support the construction team ... Develop schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements ... Perform early project design work such as conceptual studies, ... Train, mentor, and advise peers and support staff ... Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering program from an ABET accredited four‑year university. P.eng required A minimum of 10 years of industry related engineering experience ... Experience leading an engineering and design team ... Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in basic computing programs including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Preferred experience utilizing AFT Fathom or AFT Arrow hydraulic simulation software (or equivalent).
