EPC Procurement Lead

Location This position is based in U.S.A and requires applicants to be eligible to work in the U.S. or to apply for and obtain a TN visa. U.S. immigration requires proof of Canadian citizenship and successful completion of a Bachelor of Engineering degree. This role may involve either a fly-in/fly-out arrangement on a potential 10/4 schedule or a temporary relocation for approximately 1 to 2 years, depending on project needs and individual circumstances. Responsibilities Interpret and implement Prime contract flow-down requirements across EPC projects. Develop and maintain standardized procurement templates and tools in collaboration with Legal and Contracts teams. Provide training and mentorship to Procurement Managers on contract negotiation, risk assessment, and terms & conditions. Lead or support negotiations for high-risk, high-value contracts, ensuring alignment with project and corporate objectives. Serve as the primary procurement liaison to Legal, Risk, and Tax departments for contract reviews and escalations. Resolve complex contractual disputes and claims in coordination with project teams and legal counsel. Maintain vendor relationships and lead supplier-specific contract negotiations. Ensure consistency in procurement practices across markets and projects. Conduct annual reviews of procurement templates and update in line with legal and regulatory changes. Facilitate procurement team meetings and communicate legal updates and best practices. Qualifications Strong understanding of U.S. civil and common law, with preference for familiarity with state-specific Prompt Payment Acts and lien legislation applicable to construction projects. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management , or equivalent experience. Legal training (JD or experienced paralegal) preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience in contract negotiation and procurement within EPC or construction environments. Advanced skills in risk evaluation, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
