People and Culture Generalist – Saskatoon Agrifoods International Cooperative Ltd Saskatoon, SK Job Description We are looking for a People & Culture Generalist to join our HR Team. As an HR Generalist, you will be the key point of contact for employees.haratt and managers, providing cadas guidance and support across HR functions. You will drive the implementation of HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and contributing to a positive employee experience. The role requires a proactive, customer‑oriented approach to addressing employee queries while fostering a productive and supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure adherence to all laws and established HR policies and procedures. Manage all union and non‑union related matters with key stakeholders. Support the creation and training of company policies and training programs. Champion activities related to recruitment, onboarding, training and retention. Lead various HR programs and participate in related project work. Serve as an employee advocate and partner with the management team to address challenges and implement solutions. occasional travel for recruitment or training purposes. Work in evenings or weekends for urgent HR matters as needed. Participate in the Health & Safety Committee. Maintain a valid Driver’s License. Excellent time and task management skills. Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan and Manitoba Employment standards. Good understanding of various HR functions such as hourly recruitment. Experience & Education 3+ years of experience working in Human Resources. 2+ years of union recruitment and grievance handling. Experience in employee relations, safety, investigation, and corrective action. Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline. Experience working in a culturally diverse environment. Nice-to-Have Work towards a CPHR designation. Experience in the Transportation or agriculturally related industry. Negotiations and arbitration experience.
