Overview Construction & Skilled Trades Recruiter (Contract · Remote-First) Location: Remote-first (HQ: North Vancouver, BC)Compensation: $30–$50/hour (contract)Experience Required: 2+ years of recruitment experience (construction/trades preferred) We’re a specialized recruitment company focused exclusively on construction and skilled trades . Our work is simple in theory and demanding in practice: connect great companies with proven tradespeople and construction professionals who actually fit. This is not an entry-level role . We’re looking for an experienced recruiter who understands construction, enjoys talking to people all day, and has a track record of placing candidates into real-world roles—not just pushing resumes. You’ll work remotely by default, with the option to work together in our North Vancouver HQ from time to time if you’re local. What You’ll Be Doing Interviewing and qualifying skilled trades and construction professionals Having real conversations with gainfully employed candidates sourced through inbound social media campaigns as well as outbound sourcing (LinkedIn, Facebook Groups, Apollo) Assessing technical experience and cultural fit for roles such as Red Seal trades, supervisors, and specialty field roles Taking strong interview notes and making clear, defensible recommendations Managing candidate pipelines and moving strong candidates through the process efficiently Identifying what “good” actually looks like for each role without needing to be client-facing or sales-driven You will not be responsible for sales, cold outreach to employers, or client acquisition. Your focus is candidates, quality, and execution. The Kind of Experience We’re Looking For Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience (non-negotiable) Proven experience placing candidates in Skilled trades, Technical or field-based roles Strong understanding of trades credentials (e.g. Red Seal, apprenticeships, site experience) Agency recruitment experience is a strong asset Comfortable interviewing all day and building rapport quickly Organized, detail-oriented, and confident making judgment calls How We Work Remote-first, async-friendly environment Local advertising drives inbound candidate flow (you’re not only chasing cold leads) High standards for candidate quality and notes Direct, practical communication Who This Role Is Best For This role is a good fit if you: Understand construction and trades at a practical level Like talking to people more than selling to clients Take pride in matching the right person to the right role Want flexible, contract-based work with meaningful responsibility #J-18808-Ljbffr
