We are seeking a Business Data Analyst who will play a key customer-facing role for an insurance customer. Candidate should have 5-10 years of relevant experience to identify, prioritize, and help deliver various data products within the organization. Perform requirement gathering and work closely with technical teams, and data engineers to execute product data delivery. Preferred Location - Toronto, ON (Canada) Work - Hybrid (2 days per week from office in Toronto) ROSES & RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW Create, and maintain BRDs for identified data product, strategy initiative Proficient in data handling, and manipulation using common tools SQL, Excel Identify, prioritize, and help deliver various data products within the organization Emphasis on implementing data strategy initiatives for eg. merging internal data with third-party data to create data assets for consumers etc. Work with technical teams, and data engineers to execute data product delivery Perform data product business value mapping and communicate to stakeholders Manage day-to-day project operations, and serve as the functional and domain expert on the project team to ensure that they meet client expectations CANDIDATE PROFILE: Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply Some recent experience in the insurance domain/ data is a must - Life and health insurance is good to have 5+ years' experience in handling data products, data strategy-type projects Can perform data analysis and business analyst responsibilities Technical = SQL, Python, Data Analysis, Database tools, Data Exploration, Data Visualization, Insight Generation #J-18808-Ljbffr
