DevSecOps Engineer OceanMD, a WELL Health Company, is a leading provider of EMR‑integrated Patient Engagement and eReferral tools in Canada. Who we need Reporting to the Senior Director, Cloud Operations and Security, we are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join a cloud engineering and security‑focused team. In this role you will embed security into every layer of our AWS environments and delivery pipelines while supporting day‑to‑day operations that keep our SaaS platform stable, performant, and highly available. This is a full‑time hybrid role, working 3 days per week on site in our Toronto office. Key Responsibilities AWS Cloud Security and Operations Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) Secure Networking (VPC, firewalls, VPNs, IAM) Security tools (CSPM, DSPM, ASPM, Vulnerability Management) CI/CD Pipeline Security and Automation Monitoring, Alerting, and Incident Response Governance, Compliance, and Policy‑as‑Code How you will make an impact Secure by design: Implement security controls across AWS environments, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines. Enable compliance: Help maintain ISO 27001 and SOC 2 alignment, supporting audit readiness and enforcing compliance through governance‑as‑code. Be proactive: Improve monitoring and alerting systems to detect and mitigate risks before they impact customers. Lead incident response efforts and post‑mortems to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate: Partner with developers, product, and operations to eliminate barriers, share knowledge, and foster a security‑first culture across the organization. What you bring The experience: Proven expertise in DevSecOps, DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering. Experience leading or significantly contributing to cloud security initiatives in a SaaS environment, ideally with exposure to healthcare technology. The technical skills: Expert in AWS cloud services and security models. Fluency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) and advanced experience with CI/CD, monitoring, networking, and container security. Familiarity with SIEM, CSPM, DSPM, ASPM, and IaC security scanners. The collaborative approach: Strong communicator and mentor who builds trust across teams and breaks down complex security concepts into actionable solutions. The flexibility: Availability for a rotating 24/7 on‑call schedule and ability to thrive in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly. Interview Process Virtual interview with a Talent Advisor (conversation and recording on BrightHire). In‑person or virtual interview with the Senior Director of Cloud Operations and Security and the Vice President of Architecture to assess fit and technical depth. In‑person technical interview with senior team members, including a problem or assignment demonstrating design and implementation skills. Virtual interview with the CEO and COO.
