Overview POSITION OVERVIEW The National Director of Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the sales organization across Canada. This individual will drive the national sales strategy, lead high-performing teams, and deliver significant revenue growth in a competitive market. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in distribution, a proven track record of sales leadership, and the ability to scale performance across regions. Role and Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute a national sales strategy aligned with corporate goals. Lead, coach, and mentor regional and national sales teams. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results. Business Development: Drive growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. Build long-term relationships with key customers and partners. Identify strategic opportunities within target markets. Sales Operations & Process Excellence: Implement standardized opportunity and pipeline management processes. Champion CRM adoption and ensure data integrity and usage compliance. Develop and enforce a national sales playbook and methodology. Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing on demand generation and sales enablement. Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Customer Success to align sales efforts with customer needs. Executive Communication: Provide regular updates to executive leadership on sales performance and market trends. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings. Qualifications and Educational Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including national or multi-regional scope. Proven success in implementing sales processes and CRM systems. Experience in Industrial Distribution is a strong asset. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership, analytical, and executive communication skills. Highly motivated individual who shows initiative and is focused on achieving results while contributing to a positive, can-do culture.
