We offer food security programs, community lunches, meals on wheels, advocacy, and social development initiatives. We are seeking a committed and compassionate individual to join our team. Position Summary The Community Food Enterprise Projects Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Meals on Wheels service, supporting volunteers, and maintaining statistics and reporting requirements—including Moisson Montréal data—on the online platform. The coordinator plays a key role in connecting with isolated seniors, ensuring access to healthy meals, and strengthening community partnerships. In addition to program coordination, this role requires strong entrepreneurial skills to support growth and evolution of our community‑food initiatives. The coordinator will guide program scalability, spot innovation opportunities, and help build social‑enterprise models for long‑term sustainability. Responsibilities include exploring new partnerships, improving operational efficiency, and helping launch or expand community‑based food enterprises that bolster food security and local resilience. Key Responsibilities Meals on Wheels & Lunch Program Coordination Lead coordination of the Meals on Wheels service, ensuring excellent service quality and meaningful participant connections. Oversee food organization in collaboration with kitchen staff. Supervise, train, and mentor volunteers and PAAS Action participants. Schedule volunteers for take‑out meal delivery. Apply project management practices to streamline processes, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance participant experience. Community Food Program Development & Social Enterprise Growth Participate actively in the Pointe‑Saint‑Charles Food Security Table and represent the organization in collaborative planning. Develop a volunteer program to support food security, including the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers for food security initiatives. Communicate community updates, needs, and trends to the Executive Director to inform strategic decision‑making. Develop goals, priorities, and policies for the Food Security program. Contribute to the creation and growth of community food enterprises (e.g., subsidized markets, collective kitchens, social economy projects). Implement business innovation strategies to improve program sustainability and diversify revenue streams. Lead or support scalability planning, ensuring programs can grow with community demand through strategic and entrepreneurial thinking. Seniors Outreach & Social Connection Recruit and coordinate volunteers for phone check‑ins and in‑home visits to reduce social isolation among seniors. Collaborate with Community Clinic to ensure timely referrals for seniors needing health or psychosocial support. Introduce innovative engagement models to deepen community impact and support vulnerable seniors. Data Evaluation & Reporting Maintain accurate program data on the online statistical platform. Ensure timely completion of Moisson Montréal reporting. Monitor key indicators, including volunteer engagement, service consistency, delivery success, and social impact. Track metrics related to scalability efforts, enterprise development, and innovative project outcomes. Use data insights to guide program improvements and support strategic planning. Qualifications Knowledge Familiarity with project management, business innovation, and basic social enterprise models. Knowledge of community food systems and food security best practices. Familiarity with the Pointe‑Saint‑Charles community (an asset). Skills Strong leadership abilities and experience supervising volunteers or small teams. Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to manage conflict and promote constructive problem‑solving. Highly organized, dependable, adaptable, and proactive. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, improve systems, and contribute to sustainable program growth. Ability to support diverse and marginalized community members with sensitivity and respect.
