Role Overview:
As the Social Media and Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a key role in amplifying our brand's message across various social media platforms while aligning with our coffee and coffee culture sustainability goals. You will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that engage our audience, raise awareness about our sustainability initiatives, and drive meaningful conversations around environmental and social issues. You'll lead our Instagram & LinkedIn social media efforts, engaging our audience with mouthwatering latte art, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and stories about our commitment to sustainability. From promoting our ethically sourced beans to highlighting our use of compostable cups, you'll showcase how we're making a difference, one cup at a time. You will also help facilitate conversations with our vendors and find new exciting eco-products that benefit us and the earth.

Sustainability Promotion:
- Our social media channels highlight our commitment to sustainability, showcasing our use of ethically sourced coffee beans and compostable cups, and you will be responsible for updating content regularly.
- Share stories and insights about our efforts to reduce waste, conserve water, and support local farmers.
- Collaborate with our sustainability team to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation and communicate these initiatives to our audience, emphasizing their crucial role in our sustainability journey. Partner with local organizations and influencers who share our values to amplify our message and reach new audiences.
- You will oversee our sustainability channels and vendors and work through delivery and vendor management.
- You will research new innovative eco-friendly initiatives for the team and showcase them as possibilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with our marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment of messaging and initiatives across all channels.
- Collaborate with our diverse team, including baristas and other staff members, to gather content and stories for social media, showcasing the collective effort and making our audience feel part of our sustainability community. Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, sustainability, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for brands or organizations, with a passion for coffee and sustainability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and engaging content creation.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences, with experience using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Creative thinker with an eye for aesthetics and design.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
