Vice President, Core Trade, Trade & Working Capital, TDS Global Transaction Banking Location: Toronto, Ontario, CanadaHours: 37.5Sector: TD SecuritiesSalary: $150,000 - $160,000 CAD (eligible for discretionary variable pay) Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Trade Finance coverage banker to join a growing TDS Global Core Trade platform. Reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Global Core Trade, the candidate will provide TF product coverage, structuring advice, working capital and risk mitigation solutions to a portfolio of Canadian domiciled and multinational corporates, and drive product penetration within the assigned market. Key Responsibilities Deal Origination & Structuring – responsible for the complete transaction lifecycle, including origination, structuring and execution of opportunities within the assigned portfolio. Client Engagement & Relationship Management – manage and deepen relationships with existing portfolio of clients through disciplined coverage. Deal Execution – support and facilitate deal communication, preparation of summaries, pricing models, and negotiation of credit‑related documentation. Portfolio Management – consider risk, internal controls, policies, compliance and profitability; coordinate with relevant teams for ongoing maintenance. Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Impact – work with the broader coverage team in CIB, develop calling plans, guide analysts and associates, and promote cross‑selling initiatives. Market Insight & Innovation – stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and contribute to new product initiatives. Job Requirements 10‑15 years of trade finance or corporate lending experience at a major institution, with 5‑7 years as a senior or lead contributor. Strong knowledge of standby letters of credit, bank guarantees, documentary letters of credit, and working‑capital solutions. Experience structuring complex financial transactions, negotiating legal/loan documentation, and understanding credit products focused on trade finance. Experience covering and developing relationships with large corporations and global financial institutions. Ability to create and deliver professional product ideas and presentations. High level of self‑motivation, initiative, and agility to operate across industries. Geopolitical and financial acumen, strong communication skills, integrity, and good judgment. MBA, CFA, or equivalent educational background. Willingness to travel in North America.
