Vice President, Global Core Trade Finance, TD Securities, Global Transaction Banking Company: TD Securities (TDS) – a global financial services firm offering capital market products and services through Global Transaction Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Global Markets. Key Responsibilities Deal Origination & Structuring Lead end‑to‑end transaction lifecycle: origination, due diligence, pitching, structuring, and execution. Identify new opportunities to add clients and increase GCTF share of wallet. Prepare and oversee term sheets and pitches; obtain credit concurrence and pricing approvals. Maintain an active pipeline and coordinate with regional teams in the US, Toronto, London, Singapore, Montreal, and Vancouver. Client Engagement & Relationship Management Serve as trusted advisor and lead contact for all GCTF matters. Navigate client requests, engage relevant partners, and address issues effectively. Deal Execution Support deal communication and client touchpoints with CIB coverage teams. Prepare deal summaries, RAROC, and pricing models. Negotiate documentation with credit management, legal, and other internal stakeholders, applying a risk lens. Steer transactions through credit approval to closing/funding. Portfolio Management Oversee risk, controls, compliance, and profitability across the GCTF portfolio. Coordinate with credit and operational teams for ongoing portfolio maintenance. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Impact Partner with CIB relationship coverage in joint calling and pitching efforts. Develop coverage plans and leverage analysts and associates. Identify and promote cross‑selling initiatives within TD. Represent TD’s culture and inclusive values internally and externally. Market Insight & Innovation Contribute to TD and GTB brand growth; stay updated on market trends, regulation, and industry developments. Support strategic initiatives and new product builds as required. Qualifications 10-15 years of trade finance or corporate/commercial lending experience; 5-7 years in senior or lead role with proven deal origination and execution record. Strong expertise in traditional trade finance products (standby letters of credit, guarantees, documentary collections). Experience structuring complex financial transactions and negotiating legal/loan documentation. Track record of developing relationships with large corporates and global financial institutions. Business development skills: ability to create and deliver product presentations. Strong client‑resolution capability and willingness to travel across North America. Advanced credentials (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred. Geopolitical and financial acumen; excellent communication skills verbally and in writing. High self‑motivation, initiative, and adaptability across industries. Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and continuous feedback.
