The Job

Reporting to the VP of Public and Member Relations, you areinstrumental to ensuring smooth operations in the department. You will:

  • Develop and implement a variety of targeted strategies to enhance the organization’s brand.
  • Provide insight and advice on managing crises/issues and how to protect the brand.
  • Align departmental materials with the brand and approved strategies.
  • Track the performance of PR/Marketing campaigns and activities.
  • Advise on the organization’s position in the market and against competitors.
  • Collaborate with the PR/Communications team and develop strong collaborative relationships.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across communications materials with oversight of copy writing and editing.
  • Manage content for social media, events, and meetings including speeches, presentations, scripts, etc.
  • Prepare and assess marketing plans, as well as track and report on outcomes and recommendations.
  • Ensure smooth and effective processes across the department, identifying any concerns or potential delays.
  • Track and manage budgets for the department’s campaigns and activities.
  • Other tasks as required.


What you bring to the job

You are a strong storyteller with innovative ideas in marketing, communications, and public relations. You are assertive,confident, and highly organized. You thrive in a collaborative space and show great leadership potential. You also come with:

  • A university degree in business marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in public relations, communications, and marketing
  • Agency experience with understanding of a corporate environment
  • Strong project management skills and sense of urgency
  • High quality research skills and understanding of business objectives
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Skilled at building relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Able to identify and resolve problems with creative and innovative thinking
  • Great ability and interest in continuous learning
