The Opportunity
Davidson & Company LLP is looking to hire a Tax Manager. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing portfolio, while optimizing strategy and ensuring compliance with tax laws. As part of the Canadian Tax team, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and review consolidated tax provisions for financial statement reporting purposes under IFRS or US GAAP
- Review Canadian tax returns for corporations and partnerships
- Review tax election forms required
- Review foreign reporting information returns
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant tax laws and updates to legislation and administrative positions
- Build and manage client relationships
- Advise Canadian and foreign companies on domestic and international tax implications of their operations
- Assisting with the research, analysis and reporting of various corporate reorganizations, business acquisition and disposition transactions, and compensation planning
Candidate Profile
As a member of the Canadian Tax team, you will possess the following key credentials and attributes:
- Completion of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA or CMA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Canadian tax
- In progress (or completed) the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive attitude and a highly motivated team player
- Deadline oriented workstyle
