Human Resources Specialist Job Position Overview: We are seeking a talented individual to join the Northern Peak HR Consulting team as a Human Resources Specialist . The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing HR support to our clients in Northwestern Ontario. Company and Location: Northern Peak HR Consulting :The position will be based in Thunder Bay with significant travel within the region. Duties and Responsibilities: Create and provide guidance on all Human Resources policies, ensuring they align with legislative requirements. Develop and deliver training sessions on a variety of human resources topics to enhance both employee knowledge and compliance. Oversee and ensure health and safety compliance for client workplaces. Support initiatives aimed at improving employee relations as well as organizational culture. Lead recruitment efforts for clients, from job postings to the selection of qualified candidates. Clearly communicate human resources policies and procedures to staff, ensuring transparency together with consistency. Manage client documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date records. Conduct investigations related to workplace issues, including harassment and misconduct. Finally, facilitate new employee orientation and provide administrative training to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Required Qualifications: Minimum three years of Human Resources experience. Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field. Experience in conflict resolution, labour relations, and employee relations is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness and ability to travel within the region. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong planning and organizational skills, with initiative to work under minimal supervision. You must be able to use a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
