Director, Professional Services Remote – Canada (Eastern Time Zone) Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 CAD + Bonus Eligible Who we are Lynx delivers modular, open standards‑based software solutions that redefine the economics of developing, deploying, and maintaining high assurance, mission critical edge platforms. These secure edge computing solutions are designed to drive innovation and operational excellence in today’s most demanding environments. From advancing aerospace and defense capabilities to transforming commercial and industrial systems, Lynx collaborates across a wide range of industries, including automotive, medical, and critical infrastructure, to deliver tailored, high assurance solutions aligned with specific mission and operational requirements. Our Products and Services LYNX Mosaic: A software platform that can include a LYNX safety‑critical real‑time operating system. MOSA.ic's modular design provides robust support for multicore processing. It allows different operating systems and applications of different criticality levels to be run on separate cores for improved performance, reliability, and security. CoreSuite 2.0: A suite of graphics libraries and tools that enable GPU hardware acceleration for both graphics and "GPU Compute", supporting applications such as machine learning and AI processing in edge devices. MOSA.ic.SCA and Vigiles, tools that provide Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and Common Vulnerabilities Exposure (CVE) management for embedded Linux‑based and other applications. Software development services for high‑reliability applications that can include initial setup of a "DevSecOps" development environment, software application development, and long‑term product lifecycle management. Responsibilities Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage multiple teams of embedded engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development. Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team, monitoring progress and providing regular feedback. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Project Planning and Execution: Work closely with clients to understand their embedded systems requirements, translating them into actionable project plans and deliverables. Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and elevate issues as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes. Cultivate agility in decision making and automation to scale business across professional services and life‑cycle maintenance teams. Establish and enforce quality assurance processes, conduct reviews, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Technical Strategy and Expertise: Define and execute the technical strategy for embedded services, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and expertise to the Professional Services team, ensuring adherence to quality standards, best practices, and industry regulations. Stay updated on the latest advancements in embedded systems, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement. Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for technical discussions and project updates. Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and requirements, providing insights and recommendations for embedded solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. Sales Collaboration: Drive customer discussion and identify upsell opportunities for long‑term customer engagements. Collaborate with sales on statement of work, review and improve the overall pre‑sales customer experience. Collaborate with team on estimations, delivery and escalations. Financial – Value Proposition: Understand the value proposition of the team and accordingly drive the financials of the project. Help establish the value proposition of the team throughout the project. Team Growth, Hiring: Hiring per resource and skill gaps in the professional services teams. Tracking KPIs for all teams. Training and mentoring the team leaders, and principal engineers. Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of Leadership experience in embedded systems development. 8+ years of leadership experience of leading/managing diverse global cross‑functional teams. Proficient in programming languages such as C and C++, with hands‑on experience in embedded software development. Expertise in delivering concurrent projects on time/on budget with quality; resulting in satisfied management and customers. Experience in conducting risk assessments, and security and other testing for embedded systems. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to embedded systems security. Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive technical strategy and influence stakeholders. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
