Overview

DevOps Architect (Remote - US or Canada)

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to lead the design, automation, and operational excellence of enterprise-scale platforms. In this role, you will focus on building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and enabling secure, scalable deployments. You will collaborate closely with platform engineers, SREs, and development teams to ensure reliability, observability, and continuous improvement of core systems. This hands-on position is ideal for professionals passionate about infrastructure automation, platform resiliency, and implementing modern DevOps best practices across diverse environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for fast, repeatable, and secure deployments
  • Manage container orchestration and deployment using Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring to enhance application reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with SRE and development teams to create tooling for observability, diagnostics, and resiliency
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues and lead root cause analysis for platform-related incidents
  • Implement advanced deployment strategies, including canary releases, blue/green deployments, and rollback mechanisms
  • Ensure infrastructure and processes comply with security and audit standards using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
  • Expertise in Jenkins for building robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS, and Helm
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy, and version control systems like Git
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: exposure to cloud-native technologies (ArgoCD, Flux, Kustomize), service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), SRE practices including SLIs/SLOs, and security/compliance automation (CIS benchmarks)
