Policy, Planning & Research Analyst- NL Workforce Innovation Centre College of the North Atlantic Salary CG35 - $61,152.00 - $68,231.80 per annum Duties And Responsibilities The Policy, Planning, and Research Analyst will report to the Director, with project oversight from the Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator and the Research and Innovation Project Coordinator, and in consultation with the Faculty Researcher. This role supports the Welcoming Communities Project – a collaborative initiative between NLWIC and the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce, funded by the Future Skills Centre. The Analyst will lead research, policy development, planning, and implementation activities aimed at creating a newcomer integration and sustainability model for a selected region in Newfoundland and Labrador. The project also involves building a community of practice with other Welcoming Committees across the province. Assist in designing and implementing approved quantitative and qualitative research, including consultations, surveys, interviews, and focus groups with stakeholders such as the Chamber of Commerce, newcomers, municipalities, and employers. Analyze the labour market and community context in Newfoundland and Labrador – particularly the Burin Peninsula – to assess perceptions, programs, and services related to newcomer integration. Research current immigration policies, challenges, and best practices for newcomer recruitment and retention. Conduct statistical analysis and prepare reports based on collected data. Develop project documentation, including internal and external reports, presentations, and key deliverables such as the Final Report and Playbook. Support evaluation planning and contribute to project reporting and knowledge sharing. Deliver presentations on project findings in collaboration with NLWIC staff. Participate actively as a member of the NLWIC Project Team. Organize and coordinate Advisory Committee meetings, including preparing minutes and related documentation. Use research software and Microsoft Office tools to support analysis and reporting. Screening Criteria Undergraduate degree in social sciences, business administration, education. Equivalencies will be considered. Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research. Stakeholder engagement experience. Facilitation experience (e.g., information sessions, workshops, presentations). Assessment Criteria Knowledge of research methods. Knowledge of virtual learning platforms. Analytical skills.
