Supply Chain & Planning Director Greater China CELINE Division 4, Subdivision E, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada POSITION: SUPPLY CHAIN & PLANNING DIRECTOR GREATER CHINA LONG TERM CONTRACT / CHINA REPORT TO MANAGING DIRECTOR GREATER CHINA SUMMARY CÉLINE, an iconic French leather goods, fashion & couture house, is seeking a seasoned and strategic Supply Chain & Planning Director to lead operations across Greater China. The role drives supply‑chain performance, aligns with global ambitions, and supports business growth in a fast‑paced luxury fashion environment. Key Responsibilities Business Planning Define and execute GC supply‑chain strategy in alignment with CELINE's global and zone business ambitions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Merchandising, Finance, Retail, Digital, etc.) to ensure the supply chain supports growth and profitability goals. Own and manage the local OTB (Open‑to‑Buy) process to align central business planning, merchandising, financial targets, and inventory realities. Develop and maintain an 18‑month rolling sales forecast using historical data, category performance, and market trends. Demand Planning Lead demand planning, delivering accurate and timely forecasts to support production and inventory decisions. Collaborate closely with Merchandising and Retail teams to incorporate market feedback and refine projections, aligning with commercial strategy. Supply & Distribution Oversee end‑to‑end supply and distribution planning, ensuring product availability to retail stores and e‑commerce channels. Manage relationships with central and local logistics partners, ensuring high service levels and compliance with CELINE's quality standards. Implement initiatives to optimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve supply‑chain agility and resilience. Inventory Management Oversee the entire inventory management process, ensuring optimal stock levels across all product categories. Use analytics and inventory systems to monitor performance, identify risks, and proactively resolve shortages or overstocks. Collaborate with the Merchandising team to review and challenge assortment plans based on inventory health and demand outlook. Establish and enforce robust inventory policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. System Optimization Maximize the use of ERP systems to streamline supply‑chain processes and improve data integrity. Champion the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Anaplan for demand planning and integrated business planning. Partner with IT and cross‑functional teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver system improvements, integrations, and automation opportunities. Team Management Build and lead a high‑performing supply‑chain team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications Experience At least 12 years of supply‑chain management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience in luxury retail, with a deep understanding of the sector's unique challenges and opportunities. Skills Exceptional analytical and decision‑making abilities, with experience interpreting complex datasets. Proficient in ERP systems, particularly SAP, and hands‑on experience with Anaplan or a similar demand‑planning platform. Strong leadership and team‑management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire cross‑functional teams. Outstanding communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Strategic thinker focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. Education Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP, or CPIM) are a strong advantage. Languages Fluent in English and Chinese.
