Our client in the printing industry is looking for a permanent, full-time Senior Estimator to join their team. This exciting role would suit someone who is skilled in procurement, but also an innovative thinker and is solution-oriented. This role is an on-site position in the office located in Richmond, B.C. Job Title: Senior Estimator Location: Richmond, B.C. Pay Range: $80k per year starting salary What’s the Job? Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of printing processes, materials, and finishing techniques. Analytical skills: Ability to look at client job requirements, budget, map out order flow, take stock of inventory, and create customized solutions to maximize cost efficiency and order fulfillment. Attention to detail: Precision is crucial to avoid financial losses or missed deadlines. Communication: Clear and effective communication with sales, production, clients, and vendors. Problem-solving: Ability to find creative solutions for challenges like tight deadlines or changing costs. Industry awareness: Staying up-to-date with industry trends and pricing changes. What’s Needed? Education and/or combined work experience in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field is required . Prior experience in estimation and procurement/buying is required. Must be budget-conscious and savvy with numbers. Ability to analyze order flow and create custom solutions per client’s needs. Familiarity with basic software such as Microsoft Office.
