This full‑time faculty appointment begins April 1, 2026. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical care in Acute Care General Surgery, participate in the division’s emergency on‑call schedule, hold regular outpatient clinics, and contribute to patient‑centered care across a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Provide thorough acute‑care general surgery clinical services, including on‑call coverage and outpatient clinics. Lead innovative research and educational initiatives advancing Acute Care Surgery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Teach and mentor trainees at all levels. Qualifications MD degree and certification in General Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada—or eligibility for certification. Completion of an Acute Care Surgery fellowship (or equivalent). Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, University of Toronto. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Proficiency in English; technical skills and capacity to work within multidisciplinary teams. Evidence of research productivity, distinction, and potential for international leadership with interests in surgical education, quality improvement, innovation or outcomes. Salary & Benefits Starting salary will be between CAD $500,000 – $600,000, commensurate with experience and based on fee‑for‑service billings and the University Health Network Division of General Surgery Associate Practice plan.
