Working closely with the Shipper/Receiver, Director of Operations, and Associate Director of Opearations, the Warehouse and Field Technician responsibilities include executing on key tasks in the warehouse to ensure that product quality standards are being met and that our distribution network across North America is receiving inventory as needed, and delivering on the entire customer journey in the field including product delivery, installation, and maintenance.
To be successful as a Warehouse and Field Technician , you should have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Technical proficiency working with equipment is imperative. Outstanding candidates can analyze processes and develop effective improvement strategies. This role must ensure that the maintenance and delivery of brand standards is of the utmost importance when dealing with internal staff and also clients. This role will be customer facing from time to time so excellent communication skills is a requirement.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver on key objectives in the warehouse including:
- Product quality control
- Shipping and receiving
- Organization and maintenance of the facility
- Field service within Southern Ontario at client locations including:
- Site walks to determine if the location is suitable for our equipment and to communicate on what pre-installation work is required
- System installations
- Proactive and reactive maintenance
- Events
- Event operations delivery throughout North America
- Preparation of reports for communicating site walk analysis or job tickets for maintenance jobs
- Liaising with 3rd party technicians and customers throughout North America to troubleshoot issues and to provide training and education as needed.
- Drive consistency across the North America region via uniform methods and best practices.
- Be a key player in the installation process of each project to ensure long term customer satisfaction and success
- Ensure compliance with all local ordinances for installations
- Continuous improvement
- Participate on call rotation for customer inbound needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Field Service or related field
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- High degree of technical proficiency to learn how to run QC on equipment and materials.
- Experience in business to business operations, especially in food & beverage would be considered an asset
- Direct experience with developing, deploying and building a culture reflective of the core values of tabl’eau for performance, people, integrity, and accountability with driving exceptional service and positive customer outcomes
- Customer-focus and proven customer service management skills
- Exceptional organizational and skills
- Ability to work under pressure and ambiguity with accuracy, clear and focused problem solving and decision-making skills, enabling quick and accurate resolution of issues
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Possess the willingness to learn, improve, and adapt
- Experience with Microsoft Office products -- Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to travel throughout North America (up to 15% travel should be expected). Proof of ability to travel will be required as part of the hiring process
- Valid drivers license required.
- High ability to multi-task.
- Exhibits a strong teamwork mentality.
Physical Environment:
Full-time in the Warehouse located at 3535 Laird Rd., Mississauga, ON, L5L 5Y7. Travel to and work within client locations will be required regularly. Frequently required to work outside in a range of weather conditions when unloading trucks. Frequently exposed to dirt and dust from receiving products. Continuously required to wear steel toed work shoes.
Psychological Environment:
Frequently required to balance multiple tasks and simultaneous tight deadlines. Ability to troubleshoot is critical.
