The firm is dedicated to providing comprehensive legal services to clients in the GTA. We are seeking a full-time Lawyer with 2+ years of experience in civil and commercial litigation to join our collaborative and supportive team. Roles and Responsibilities: Represent clients in all stages of civil and commercial litigation, including pleadings, motions, discoveries, mediations, and trials. Provide legal opinions, strategic advice, and risk assessments to clients on complex matters. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as statements of claim/defence, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare persuasive written arguments. Manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision while ensuring deadlines are met. Attend court appearances, pre-trial conferences, and other legal proceedings. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court officials, and expert witnesses in a professional and effective manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and billing records. Contribute to firm-wide knowledge sharing and mentorship of junior staff. Participate in business development initiatives, including networking and community engagement, as needed.
