Job Overview The Senior Graphic Designer will lead and elevate the creative vision behind live events in North America. Based in our Toronto office, you will mentor a team of five designers, collaborate across departments, and shape brand‑aligned creative outcomes for iconic events such as FAN EXPO, VidCon, the Interior Design Show, Artist Project, One Of A Kind Spring & Christmas Shows, and Art Toronto. What You’ll Do Lead and Mentor : Guide and support a team of five designers, providing constructive feedback, creative direction and professional development. Collaborate Across Teams : Work with the Project Manager, Creative Directors, VP of Marketing and the Associate Director, Creative and Brand to ensure alignment and brand standards. Drive Creative Excellence : Conceptualise and execute innovative campaign ideas from concept to delivery, exceeding creative brief requirements. Streamline Processes : Spearhead process improvements to enhance project efficiency and team collaboration. Manage Projects : Oversee end‑to‑end creative development of new projects, managing timelines and workloads to meet strict deadlines. Ensure Quality : Provide quality assurance for all creative deliverables across print and digital platforms. Oversee Print Production : Manage print production and file preparation for CMYK output, including vendor management. Create Motion Graphics : Design motion graphics for digital initiatives and video content using advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills. Contribute to Branding : Bring fresh design ideas to elevate our branding and marketing campaigns year over year. Stay Ahead of Trends : Research and implement current design trends, emerging technologies and industry best practices. Support Daily Projects : Assist with day‑to‑day creative projects as required. Qualifications Leadership Skills : Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of designers. Industry Experience : Strong understanding of pop culture and experience in Design and/or Art industries. Technical Expertise : Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere) and motion graphics. Print Production Knowledge : Understanding of file preparation for CMYK output and print production processes. Creative Problem‑Solving : Ability to translate complex concepts into compelling marketing assets. Attention to Detail : Meticulous eye for quality in all deliverables. Collaboration & Communication : Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to work with stakeholders. Organisational Skills : Strong planning, multi‑tasking and time‑management to meet tight deadlines. Education : BA or BS degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts or Communication Arts. Experience : 7‑8 years in a related graphic design role, with demonstrated team‑leadership responsibility.
