Active Business Services (“ABS”) is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and hard-working full time Junior Reporting Analyst. This role will be within the finance department. This exciting role will challenge your ability to multi-task and solve problems efficiently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

ABS is a rapidly growing energy marketing firm based in Burlington Ontario, operating in several markets across Canada mainly Ontario and Quebec, where it is a market leader. The ideal applicant will encourage increased responsibility, work autonomously, and go after the opportunities involved with joining a rapidly growing company. Considered candidates must be analytical, results oriented, and eager to make an immediate impact.


Primary Duties Include

• Managing various customer reconciliations to ensure profitability targets are met

• Developing business metrics to help assess and improve profitability

• Ensuring commodity trades are recorded accurately and appropriate processes are in place to integrate the trading team and the finance group

• Creating and analyzing reports to ensure data accuracy, including client billing and utility settlements

• Develop new processes and identify process improvements

• Perform Ad-hoc analysis and report generation as required


Qualifications

• University degree in Business or Economics

• Experience in related field an asset

• Strong business writing and verbal communication skills to effectively develop and present detailed analysis and reports

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Extremely detailed oriented, productive and efficient

• Effective at managing numerous projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure as well as in fast paced team settings

• Self-Driven and goal oriented with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a team environment
