Director of Development for the Neuro-Efficiency Foundation La Fondation Neuro-Efficacité (« N-EFF ») offers comprehensive support to individuals with reduced mobility due to neurological injuries. N-EFF is committed to making neurological physiotherapy, mental health support, technical services, and advocacy accessible and affordable to all individuals affected by neurological injuries. The Director of Development will play a crucial role in the long-term sustainability of the organization. Under the responsibility of the Executive Director, this position will lead all aspects of fundraising, grant writing, and fund management to generate predictable and reliable revenue. The Director of Development will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, including CRA guidelines and nonprofit best practices. Fundraising and Revenue Development Develop and implement fundraising strategies to ensure constant and sustainable revenue growth. Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure public and private funding. Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and management of major gifts from individuals, corporations, and family foundations. Establish strong relationships with family foundations and individual donors aligned with the organization's mission to progress them through the major gift process. Develop strategies for individual giving for high-potential donors to renew and increase their gifts. Oversee and grow the annual golf tournament, ensuring it remains a premier fundraising event with significant success. Compliance and Organizational Management Ensure the organization is fully compliant with all legal requirements, CRA guidelines, charity regulations, and reporting requirements. Oversee gift compliance, ensuring accurate reporting, receipting, and donor record-keeping, in accordance with CRA and industry best practices. Establish and maintain effective administrative processes, in line with best practices. Maintain accurate records of donors and grants, in accordance with CRA requirements and best practices. Enhance the organization's eligibility for family foundation and agency funding by implementing strong governance, ensuring transparent reporting, and providing reliable self-assessments when external evaluations are not available. Strategic Leadership and Collaboration Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure alignment of the fundraising strategy with the organization's strategic vision. Provide clear reports and recommendations to the Board of Directors on fundraising and compliance matters. Serve as a resource to the Board of Directors on fundraising and compliance matters. Contribute to engaging Board members in fundraising and management activities. Donor and Community Engagement Represent the organization in the community, develop strategic partnerships, and increase visibility among donors and stakeholders. Establish relationships with volunteers, donors, and community partners to deepen engagement and expand the organization's reach. Lead communication with donors, including newsletters, annual reports, and updates, to keep supporters informed and inspired. Manage and maintain fundraising-related content on the organization's website and digital platforms to ensure consistent and mission-focused communication. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. At least five years of experience, success, and increasing responsibility in major gift fundraising and grant writing. Proactive and pragmatic leader, comfortable in a small nonprofit entrepreneurial environment. Excellent knowledge of CRA guidelines and charity compliance in Canada. Experience in setting strategic goals and developing fundraising plans. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships with donors and family foundations. Ability to work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders. Proven organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French. Proficiency in Donor Perfect is an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
