Overview The SAP Engagement Director is responsible for overseeing projects within an industry vertical for a specified set of customers. They work closely with the Vice President Delivery and the sales team to provide delivery expertise that assists in estimating project timelines and budgets. Responsibilities include identifying Syntax resources, managing those resources in the preparation of RFP responses, following up with clients to ensure satisfaction, and providing project management expertise when required (e.g., vacation relief or escalation). The Engagement Director often accompanies Account Executives on sales calls to better understand scope of projects to be quoted and assists in ongoing client management. Responsibilities The Engagement Director will: Serve as the first point of escalation for unresolved issues Collaborate with the Director, Project Management Office, Solution Architects, and Competency Leads to determine resource availability Provide team coaching, evaluate team performance, and reinforce Syntax’s values through communication Desired Skills and Qualifications 10+ years in Project Management within the SAP World, consulting experience considered a huge asset Completion of 3 or more full life cycle project implementations 5+ years of client management experience Hands‑on functional experience in one of the SAP modules required Experience within Retail and Digital Manufacturing highly preferred SAP Public Cloud Methodology Experience including the use of CALM Delivery Participate in the sales qualifying process for new projects Identify a team of Syntax resources and ensure their availability to assist in responding to RFPs Manage the team in the process of responding to RFPs, ensuring all timelines for response are metParticipate in the preparation and presentation of sales material for potential new projects Actively participate in Steering Committee and project team meetings as required Manage relationships with client stakeholders to align expectations for the solution to be delivered Provide guidance to Syntax project manager and project team in resolving issues and escalations Proactively manage client stakeholder satisfaction to secure customer reference and success story Experience as a functional consultant an asset Experience as a project manager an asset Education – Degree, MBA preferred, PMP an asset Why Syntax?
