Position Overview:
We seek a motivated and detail-oriented QA Technician to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GMPs and HACCP principles, with at least two years of experience in a GFSI environment. This role is crucial in maintaining our high quality and food safety standards, ensuring that our products meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct GMP checks and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Perform quality control activities, including production line checks and routine testing.
- Analyze data from quality tests and inspections, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in preparing for and participating in third-party audits.
- Collaborate with the production team to resolve any quality issues during manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate records of quality checks, tests, and inspections.
- Continuously monitor and improve quality processes, suggesting enhancements where applicable.
- Ensure adherence to all food safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a QA Technician in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP principles, and GFSI standards.
- Experience with third-party audits, particularly in frozen foods, is an asset.
- SQF background is considered a strong asset.
- Must be HACCP trained.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to quality assurance.
